Kangaroo
What is “Kangaroo” ?
Kangaroo is a Live Physics engine for interactive simulation, optimization and form-finding directly within Grasshopper. Kangaroo is a particle-based simulation add0n and is good at simulating elastic materials like springs.
For more detail, refer official documentation here.
Pipeline
There are 3 phases to use grasshopper:
- initial setup
- simulation
- visualization
Components
- Kangaroo : Simulator in Kangaroo
- Spring From Line : Make springs from lines
- UForce : Make unary force at certain point with certain direction
Applications
- spring
- bend
- plaw
- equalize
- sphere collide
- laplacian smoothing
- planariza
- unroll
- remesh
